DuArt is a Marimba and Percussion duo whose members are Omri Rachum-Twaig (20) and Assaf Adar (21). The Duo was founded in 2005 with the aid of Mr. Alon Bor (Principal Percussionist of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra). DuArt is performing internationally with a repertoire of modern classical pieces along with arrangements for classical pieces with a touch of world and ethnic music. DuArt are the winners of the 2nd Prize at the prestigious International Competition for Chamber Music "Gaetano Zinetti" in Verona. The Duo won 1st Prize at Chamber Music competition of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in the years 2006-2007 and 2nd Prize at the Modern Music Competitions for the years 2007-2008, as well as a chamber music scholarship from The America-Israel Art Foundation for the years 2006-20010. DuArt performed a recital in the Jerusalem Music Center that was broadcasted live in "The Sound of Israel" radio station, a recital in the Felicia Blumenthal Music Center in Tel-Aviv as well as in the "Sounds of the Dessert" Festival in Sde-Boker, Israel. The Duo also performed a recital in the Landeskonservatorium Vorarlberg, Austria as well as a recital in the "ZeitKlange" program in Kempten, Germany. DuArt performed at the official reception of the 3rd annual U.N. International Holocaust Commemoration Day in NYC. The Duo was invited for concert in Goefis, Feldkirch – Austria, Kempten - Germany, Italy for the season 2007-2008 as well as concert tours in Italy, Germany and Austria for the season 2008-2009. DuArt's repertoire consists of contemporary pieces, as well as classical repertoire.
